Colin spoke to Clemency Burton-Hill about the challenges of performing and recording music by Steve Reich. The interview is published in the April 2018 issue of BBC Music Magazine.

'In a fun way, I've created a bit of a monster in the new label,' he jokes. 'We could have made it just about doing regular Reich releases, but there are too many other things I want to do. I like the idea of mixing and matching chamber, recital pieces and, depending on finance, perhaps even concertos.'

'It's amazing to see how things have changed since I was a student. When I graduated I only had to play one solo piece as part of my exam. Now every student has to give a full recital, and percussion is treated with the same respect as any solo instrument.'
