Colin will perform at this season’s opening concert of the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) at the New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall on 19 October. He will play Steven Mackey’s Time Release, a work for percussion and orchestra that showcases the marimba along with such a variety of other instruments that The Scotsman described the piece as the “…musical equivalent of (running) a marathon."

Colin premiered the work in 2005 with Residentie Orkest and has performed it many times around the world including at Carnegie Hall with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Marin Alsop for her conducting debut in 2008.

This is Colin’s debut with the BMOP and together they will make a recording of Time Release for the orchestra’s own award-winning label.
