Colin brings his Colin Currie Group to Scotland this week to make their debut at Edinburgh International Festival, where they will give their first performance of Gubaidulina Glorious Percussion, a concerto for percussion quintet and orchestra. Thomas Dausgaard conducts the ensemble, along with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for the performance on 8 August. The group will also appear on the BBC Breakfast show that morning, performing Drumming: Part 1.
Upcoming engagements for the group include four sold-out performances of Steve Reich Drumming at the Hayward Gallery in London. The group will also return to Kings Place, London, as part of their Master Series on 13 June 2020.
