This summer, I have been invited to co-curate the Grafenegg Academy with my great colleague and collaborator, Håkan Hardenberger. At the request of the Academy, we have revamped the entire program, with a new focus on adventurous repertoire, in-depth and advanced performance skills, stylistic authenticity and expanding the creative process.
The conditions are incredible for the successful applicants! Full scholarship for all – travel, accommodation and a generous stipend. We also have plenty of time to work together – two weeks of concerts, chamber music, lessons, coaching and a swathe of guest artists giving classes and hosting panel discussions.
Grafenegg is a gorgeous place with an outstanding and well-appointed campus, and I truly believe this is a unique set of conditions for young professionals looking to hone their creativity in inspiring circumstances.
