On 3rd June, Colin returns to the Southbank Centre in London for two performances with the BBC Concert Orchestra under the baton of Maestro George Jackson. These family orientated concerts entitled ‘Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed at the Orchestra’ take place at the Royal Festival Hall at 11am and 2pm. The programme features the world premiere of Gavin Higgins’ Beano Concerto for percussion & orchestra. This work was written for a wide variety of percussion instruments from standard equipment such as marimba and xylophone, to a specially constructed ‘junk drum kit’ designed to evoke comic book sound effects.
